Amanda Still

Physiotherapist

Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours)

Amanda graduated from the University of Otago in 2019 with an Honours degree in Physiotherapy and has recently submitted her doctoral thesis on the broader benefits of physical activity, particularly for individuals with Parkinson’s disease.

Her professional interests span both sports and older persons' health, with experience across private practice, neurological care, rest homes, hospitals, and dementia-level care. As a former competitive track athlete, Amanda draws on her personal experience with injury prevention and rehabilitation. She integrates these strategies into her physiotherapy sessions, combining strength training, land-based drills, and aqua jogging to prevent injury and support recovery.

In addition to her clinical work, Amanda is a Teaching Fellow at the University of Otago’s School of Biomedical Sciences, where she teaches anatomy to physiotherapy, medicine, and sports science students. Passionate about education, she empowers her clients with a deeper understanding of their bodies, helping them build confidence in their recovery. Her sessions focus on tailored exercise prescription, manual therapy, and massage techniques to meet individual needs.
